Yet Another Google Bomb Targets French President

September 7, 2010

France (ChattahBox Technology News) – French President Nicolas Sarkozy is far from happy today, after waking to find himself the victim of yet another Google bomb. According to the Telegraph, Sarkozy now comes up as a high ranking Google result when the offensive phrase “trou du cul” is typed in.

For those of you who don’t know what the slang term means, type it into Google and go to the number one option of Urban Dictionary. It will tell you. But just under that you will find Sarkozy’s Facebook page, which is residing in the number two spot.

What happened was users started tagging the phrase on his page, in comments, pictures and discussions. This put him on Google’s radar, and while he was removed from search results for a short time this morning, he has been back now for hours.

This is the second time he has been the subject of keyword bombing, the first being earlier this year in protest of his anti-piracy policies. Now, he is facing increasing unpopularity because of his pension changes and attitude towards Muslims. Not to mention a possible pay off from a L’Oreal heiress.

Bad luck, Sarkozy.
