NARAL Pro-Choice America Endorses Barack Obama For President

NARAL Pro-Choice America, an abortion-rights group, has officially come out and endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama for president..Washington (ChattahBox) – NARAL Pro-Choice America, an abortion-rights group, has officially come out and endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama for president.

The National Abortion Rights Action League’s Pro-Choice America political action committee announced on Wednesday the endorsement of Obama for president, giving a big blow to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

The NARAL’s political action committee had a tough time at first deciding who to endorse, but has now voted unanimously to endorse Obama.

NARAL president Nancy Keenan put out a statement saying “Today, we are proud to put our organization’s grass-roots and political support behind the pro-choice candidate whom we believe will secure the Democratic nomination and advance to the general election. That candidate is Senator Obama.”

The NARAL is one of the nation’s leading abortion-rights groups, and with this announcment, Clinton is once again on the outside looking in.

    I am a seventy one year old feminist who worked a number of years ago as a volunteer at Margaret Sanger’s in Manhattan. I think your support of Obama at this time does nothing to bind the wounds of our party but instead fans the flames by coming out for Obama the day after Hillary scored such an overwhelming victory in West Virginia. You lost me and so many other women
    as supporters of your organization .
