Carnival Ride Collapses In Cali, Injuring Young Riders

A carnival ride at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee in California collapsed on Friday night, injuring two dozen riders...Sacramento (ChattahBox) – A carnival ride at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee in California collapsed on Friday night, injuring two dozen riders.

On Friday night, the carnival ride called the Yo-Yo collapsed at the carnival, which is about 80 miles southeast of Sacramento.

Two dozen riders on the carnival ride were injured as it collapsed to the ground.

The majority of those injured were children, with three having to be airlifted to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, as well as the Doctors Medical Center in Modesto and the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Over a dozen other riders had to be brought to local hospitals via ambulance.

The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration has launched an investigation into the accident.
