Senator Edward M. Kennedy has to be airlifted to the hospital on Saturday with symptoms similar to those of a stroke.Boston (ChattahBox) – Senator Edward M. Kennedy has to be airlifted to the hospital on Saturday with symptoms similar to those of a stroke.

Reports state that the 76-year old Democrat is now in the hospital after suffering stroke-like symptoms.

There is no word directly on his condition at this point, as the only true facts known are that he had to be airlifted there on Saturday after falling ill at his home. A 9-1-1 call was made from the Kennedy compound.

Spokeswoman for Kennedy, Stephanie Cutter, has confirmed he had to be airlifted to the Cape Cod Hospital in Massachusetts early Saturday.

Kennedy was later taken to the Massachusetts General Hospital to be looked at by doctors further.
