Republican presidential candidate John McCain has announced he has released his medical records to the media, trying to show Americans he is healthy.New York (ChattahBox) – Republican presidential candidate John McCain has announced he has released his medical records to the media, trying to show Americans he is healthy.

If McCain is elected, he would be the oldest president of the United States in history at 71-years old, beating Ronald Reagan by 3 years. Health has been one of the biggest questions facing McCain, as many want to know if he is healthy enough to be president of the United States.

McCain has selected certain media outlets to look over his medical records so that they can see first-hand that he is healthy enough to be commander-in-chief.

McCain is a cancer survivor as he beat melanoma. His famliy also has a history of heart disease, with his dad dying at age 70 of a heart attack.

The Republican candidate has stated though that he is in great health. The Associated Press was one of the media outlets who had the chance to look over the records.

The AP stated that the records showed he has degenerative arthritis from war injuries. His blood pressure and weight are said to be healthy, as is his cholesterol level. This puts McCain’s heart in a very healthy state.

His records did reveal that he is sill at risk of developing new skin cancers, though he is under close watch.

The last time McCain released his medical records was in 1999, when he was going against George W. Bush to try to win the Republican nomination.

McCain will turn 72-years old in August.
