NASA Space Shuttle Discovery Lands On Earth

The NASA space shuttle Discovery landed safely at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, completing a successful mission to the International Space Station.Orlando (ChattahBox) – The NASA space shuttle Discovery landed safely at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, completing a successful mission to the International Space Station.

Discovery touched down at the Kennedy Space Center at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The official length of the mission was 13 days, 18 hours, and 13 minutes.

The mission to the ISS lasted nearly two-weeks and brought up the pressurized module as well as the robotic arm of the Japanese space laboratory known as Kibo.

Discovery brought Gregory Chamitoff up to the International Space Station, and brought Garrett Reisman home, as he was there for over 3 months.
