It resulted in the suicide of a teenage girl, Megan Meier.

The case immediately caught national attention when it broke as Lori Drew pretended to be a teenage boy by the name of Josh Evans on MySpace.

She did this to try and spy on 13-year old Megan Meier and see what the teenage girl was saying about her daughter.

It escalated from there to the point where Lori Drew had her MySpace character in an online relationship with Meier. Drew pulled the plug on it in a message sent to Meier, stating teh world would be a better place without her.

This resulted in 13-year old Megan Meier commiting suicide.

Lori Drew has been charged with conspiracy, as well as accessing protected computers without authorization to get information used to inflict emotional distress.

Drew is set to stand trial on July 26 and faces up to 20 years in prison.

IT IS TOO BAD THAT MRS. DREW CHOSE TO BECOME EMBROILED IN HER CHILDS AFFAIRS. AS CHILDREN WE LEARN FROM LIFE WITH ADVICE, EMPHASIS ON ADVICE, FROM OUR PARENTS. THERE SHOULD BE SOME CONSEQUENCE TO PAY FOR THE WAY MRS. DREW ACTED.

This is really sad. Poor Megan Meier she didn’t have very many friends. Even if she want to know if Megan was saying stuff about daughter she didn’t need to pretend to be a 16 year- old boy. Nobody I mean NOBODY should go threw what Megan did. Depressionis very serious. Cyber-bulling or just plan Bulling is wrong! I don’t know why people think its fun or its right to pick on someone just cause their differnt. All I want to say is I hope Lori Drew Routs in Jail for the rest of her life. I don’t know how she is able to sleep at night after what she did!
