The House approved the largest war spending bill yet on Thursday, worth $162 billion.Washington (ChattahBox) – The House approved the largest war spending bill yet on Thursday, worth $162 billion.

They have sided with President Bush, giving $162 billion in war funding which should last through July 2009.

The House sided with Bush after he agreed to support several domestic initiatives, such as allowing veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars to go to state college, tuition-free.

He also agreed to allow for a 13-week extension for unemployment.

Many who are against the war fired at Democrats, stating that they had betrayed their allegiance and pledge to end the war.

Many Democratic supporters have called the vote a huge disappointment.

The war funding bill passed 268-155, with support of 188 Republicans and 80 Democrats.
