Father, Son Tread Water At Sea For 12 Hours, Rescued

A father and son located in Florida were swept out to sea Saturday night, but were rescued after they managed to tread water for 12 hours..Miami (ChattahBox) – A father and son located in Florida were swept out to sea Saturday night, but were rescued after they managed to tread water for 12 hours.

The 46-year old father, Walter Marion, and his 12-year old son Chris were swept out to see at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Marino’s 12-year old daughter watched this all take place, and immediately called 9-1-1, calling for help.

The U.S. Coast Guard was on the case immediately, but hope was slim.

The father was found eight miles east of where they went missing, at 7:30 a.m.  the next morning, while the son was found nearby.

The two are now recovering at the Halifax Health Medical Center.
