Senator Believes Others Were Behind Anthrax Attacks

Sen. Patrick Leahy, a Democrat from Vermont, has made it very clear that he does not believe Bruce Ivins acted alone in the 2001 anthrax attacks..Washington (ChattahBox) – Sen. Patrick Leahy, a Democrat from Vermont, has made it very clear that he does not believe Bruce Ivins acted alone in the 2001 anthrax attacks.

Sen. Leahy, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee put out a challenge on Wednesday.

He challenged the entire FBI investigation, stating he believes that Ivins did not act alone.

The senator made it clear that “I believe there are others who can be charged with murder.”

The FBI believes Bruce Ivins was behind the attacks, which ended up killing 5 people.

Just Tuesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller called for an independent review of the FBI science used in the probe.

This is bringing more questions up surrounding the investigation.

Bruce Ivins killed himself before he could be arrested by the FBI back in july.
