On Sunday, nearly 8,000 people came out to take part in the 20th annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, which was presented by Hyundai Motor America.

There were a variety of routes for the sponsored walkers to take part in.

These routes were of varying distances.  Some were 13.1 miles, some 5 miles, 3 miles, etc.  The longest was a 26.2 mile walk.

$6.4 million was raised last year, with the goal this year set at $7.2 million.

The money raised goes to fighting cancer at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
