Ted Strickland of Ohio on Friday.

The 41-year old Richard Cooey is quickly running out of places to turn, as the argument that he was too fat for lethal injection did not fly with the governor or the courts.

His lawyers have been arguing that he was too obese to be executed by lethal injection in a humane way.

Gov. Ted Strickland sided with the rulings from two different courts though, and has denied clemency..

The Ohio Supreme Court, as well as the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied reprieve for the man.

Cooey was convicted to the 1986 kidnapping, rapes, and murders of University of Akron sorority sisters Dawn McCreery and Wendy Offredo.
