The debate was very heated between the two, as it was the final debate before the presidential election.

Barack Obama and McCain both laid out the foundation for their health care plans.

Obama believes in pushing employer-based health insurance, and keeping it the way it is.

The only change would be that big businesses would have to pay a fine if they do not offer health insurance to employees.

These fines would go to allow Americans to buy health insurance.

John McCain laid out his plan with tax credits, $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to buy health insurance.

Studies have shown that the McCain plan would cost more since the tax credits do not cover health insurance costs.

McCain tried to attack Obama by stating that “Joe the plumber” would lose money from his small-business since they would have to pay the fine.

Obama shut him down though by stating the fine only applies to big businesses, apparently McCain did not do his homemwork.

In the final debate, it was clear Obama won on the health care topic.
