18,000 Make Strides Against Breast Cancer In San Francisco

18,000 people came together over the weekend to take part in the American Cancer Society's 11th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk................San Francisco (ChattahBox) – 18,000 people came together over the weekend to take part in the American Cancer Society’s 11th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

This was a huge event that was set up to take place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Many events of this magnitude have been held across the U.S. all month and have enjoyed immense success.

As of right now, breast cancer is still up there as the second most deadliest form of cancer among women, .

The five mile walk kicked off on Saturday at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Many walkers wore stickers to show who they represented.

The majority of those who came to the walk wore stickers showcasing who they represented.

With teams wearing plenty of pink, this is yet another example of people coming together to increase awareness of breast cancer.
