Tiller Murder Suspect Harassed Clinic: FBI Ignored Complaints

June 4, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Scott Roeder of Merriam Kansas, 51-years-old, now sits in Sedgwick County Jail accused of gunning down Dr. George Tiller on Sunday in the foyer of his church, where he served as an usher. Sadly, if the FBI had taken appropriate action on complaints the agency received about Roeder, perhaps Dr. Tiller may still be alive today.

Roeder was a familiar face to staff members and security guards at Dr. Tiller’s clinic, Women’s Health Care Services in Wichita Kansas, because he harassed staff and the building itself, numerous times, as recently as Saturday, the day before he allegedly shot Dr. Tiller to death.

Staff members were familiar with the sight of Roeder’s beat up car leaving the premises after vandalizing the Women’s Health Care building, usually by gluing the locks shut on the doors of the clinic.

Dr. Tiller was one of the very few doctors in the country who performed late term abortions and domestic terrorists like Roeder, engaged in acts of vandalism, protest blockades and even bombings against his clinic for the past two decades.

Rachel Maddow, during her MSNBC show on Wednesday night, noted that the Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances or FACE Act, makes Roeder’s vandalism a federal crime and yet the FBI did nothing to stop this dangerous man.

A security guard at the clinic phoned the FBI on Saturday, after Roeder once again glued the locks shut, but he was brushed off and told that the FBI “probably” couldn’t do much without a grand jury.

The FBI isn’t interested in justice, nor in protecting Americans; the sole aim of the FBI is to pursue headlines that will increase their budget. It’s long past time to disband the FBI and create a national police force with the mandate to enforce the law and protect the citizenry.

Our Federal Bureau of Investigation is the best agency in the world. They go above and beyond the call of duty in every way possible. There is no way that any enforcement agency can post their people at a certain location both day and night, and that is absurd to think that way. I believe that Mr. Tiller realized the situation he was putting himself in, as his place of abortion was like a fortress. I believe that Mr. Tiller weighed all this out very carefully, and decided that it was worth it to get up in the AM., brush his teeth, take a shower, eat, and then go to work which was killing fetuses all day. I heard it was a million dollar a year job, and 60,000 fetuses makes for quite a bit of cash in the old pocket. You can live high off the hog with that kind of money. As for me, I would not sell my soul for a buck, and then here comes along someone like the killer and he then shoots Mr. Tiller, in a church of all places. Where will the violence end? May GOD help us all. I guess that there is some truth in the saying that ” Violence begets violence.” It’s all so sad.
