Bill O’Reilly Wants Outside Agency to Control NY Times “Deceptions”

June 29, 2009

(ChattahBox)— The Daily Kos has a thorough breakdown of Bill O’Reilly’s recent editorial (rant) on his website, where he blasts the NY Times for its dishonesty and deception for conducting a health care poll that he doesn’t agree with.

Lamenting the disappearance of a “free and honest press,” O’Reilly, who hosts a show (shouting fest), The O’Reilly Factor on the conservative media outlet Fox News, says he is just a simple “… media guy who wants accurate information.” You know, like all of the accurate information he disseminates on his show. That kind.

O’Reilly is enraged by recent NY Times poll showing that the majority of Americans would pay higher taxes for a health insurance plan that would cover everyone. The Times’ poll was a representative sampling, but O’Reilly declared it deceptive and unscientific, because he discovered that the 48 percent of the people polled voted for Obama.

By O’Reilly’s reasoning, since McCain captured 46 percent of the vote, the NY Times deliberately skewed the poll by polling more Obama voters, because the Times supports national health care.

O’Reilly then wishes some sort of outside agency could control these deceptive liberal newspapers.

“The most frustrating part about this is that nothing can be done. The Times has an ombudsman, but he’s a joke, and no outside agency has any power over the paper. It can pretty much do what it wants, and does.”

I’m not sure what “outside agency” O’Reilly thinks can censor the news to his liking. Oh, maybe he is referring to Fox News and how they slant the news to reflect a conservative view. Got it.

Faux News is considerably more right-wing than “conservative.” I understand that O’Reilly wants to repeal the First, Thirteenth and Nineteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, and bring back the land ownership requirement for voters’ qualification. He and his cronies, of course, would still continue to enjoy the rights to a free press which he wants to take away from everyone with whom he disagrees (to be specific, the vast majority of Americans would be subject to prior censorship, but O’Reilly would be allowed to spout his lies as much as he likes).

O’Reilly, Bush, Cheney, and their Nazi buddies need to move to Argentina, where their methods of torturing prisoners in violation of International law would be welcomed.

If you are looking and want to report on a positive story for a change in Northeast WI, then you need to find New Real Deals at Sawdust Days in Oshkosh, to find out what everyone is talking about.

They are the Northeast WI stimulus package. Saving people hundreds if not thousands of dollars along with raising thousands of dollars for the local fundraisers and charities in our immediate area.

Just ask Children’s Hospital through donations by Karate America (little Chute, Joe Harlow, president), Restore Habitat for Humanity, local museums, Community Benefit Tree (Heidi Fredrickson , director), The N.E.W. Zoo (Maria, administrative director), to name just a few. Ask them the profit margin they make off of a N.E.W. Real Deals Sale. Profit margins by these fundraisers that are unprecedented. $20 profit off a $35.00 sale.
No other company in the nation is giving away more money than they take in.

N.E.W. Real Deals has taken the greed out of their product and put the profit in the hands that can use it most. Our neighborhood charities and fundraisers.
