Palin Suffered Thinning Hair and Weight Loss Due to Personal, Political Turmoil

July 13, 2009

(ChattahBox)—A well reported piece published by the New York Times today entitled, “Palin’s Long March to a Short-Notice Resignation,” takes a hard look at the political and personal turmoil that seemed to follow Palin back to Alaska after her failed Vice Presidential run, and her inability to effectively deal with it.

New details were reported concerning an emergency mission, of sorts, by an official from the Republican Governors Association, who was dispatched to Alaska to salvage Palin’s career and national reputation, before she completely self destructed under the harsh glare of the media spotlight.

After the all of the adoration heaped on Palin by supporters during her time in the national spotlight, she arrived back in Alaska to face numerous ethical complaints that she claims taxed her emotionally and financially. Many of the complaints were dismissed, but two were not.

She was found to have seriously abused her office with her actions surrounding the “troopergate” scandal where she pressured subordinates to get her former brother-in-law fired from his job as a state trooper. Additionally, Palin was made to pay back taxes, after it came to light that she improperly billed the state for thousands of dollars in per diem expenses.

Palin’s thin skin and quick temper made it difficult to put the ethics complaints and criticism from her opponents in proper perspective. She was constantly embroiled in messy public feuds, ordering her political aide to issue numerous defensive news releases that only served to draw further attention to the issues.

Palin publicly feuded with her critics at home, her daughter Bristol’s teenaged former fiancé Levi Johnston, bloggers and David Letterman. No criticism was considered too small for Palin to order her aide to fire off another shrill news release.

As the NY Times noted, Palin continued to engage in the “…sort of intermingling between her personal and public agendas that had drawn ethics complaints against her.

After Johnston appeared on the Tyra Banks show, Palin’s aide issued yet another news release saying, “We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration and even distortion of their relationship.”

Watching from the sidelines, as Palin lost focus by constantly going to war with her critics and neglected her duties as Governor, Nick Ayers executive director of the Republican Governors Association showed up on Palin’s doorstep in March with a stern message to get her house in order.

Ayers advised Palin to stick close to home and focus on a “…state agenda that creates jobs and ensures re-election.

Although receptive to the advice at the time, it went largely ignored, as Palin drifted further away from the duties expected of her as governor.

The strain seemed to take its toll on Palin as she lost weight and some of her hair due to stress. She had to make regular trips to the local Beehive Salon to cover up her thinning hair.

When Palin was away from Alaska things seemed easier. Fred V. Malek, known as a Republican kingmaker, honored Palin with a dinner, where she bonded with Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz.

Lucrative book deals were coming her way, as well as constant requests for interviews from media giants, like Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey. The world was Palin’s oyster and suddenly the little backwater of Wasilla just seemed too small.

This woman would put the whole world at risk if she ever ran for President. Hang it up Palin. I know you got a good taste of the fast lane but have some integrity and realize that the White House is one place you do not belong. This woman takes every little thing personal and it would be scary to have her in control of anything. The people of America bought Bushs’ BS though so who knows, maybe they will fall for Palin’s BS too. Find somewhere to make a differenece and get off your high horse and your personal vendetta jag, Mrs.Palin. The Republican’s used you as a trump card to the Democrat’s rejecting Hillary Clinton as a candidate. It was a great plan…for about 6 days. The Republican’s knew they were gonna lose and you bought their schpeel, hook, line and sinker. Just get over it ok? You can make a difference, somewhere, if you just get over it. The “troopergate” scares me. It reminds me of a small town scenario where power play’s like this are a daily happening. Little small town judges, DA’s or cops, on little Napoleon power trips are scary. It reminds me of a local, small town, alarm installer, who thought just because he was a citizen of America, that he had the right to listen to new people’s (moving into town), phone conversations ect. He was used to a good ole boy network where everybody knew everybody’s business and when the town started growing, his jealousy of the newcomer’s money made him into a creep who wasted people’s time and started viciscious unfounded rumors about completely innocent citizens. To cover up his embarassment he created lies and scenarios that the good ole boys bought but I’ll flay guarantee that God won’t when the time comes. Forget the power trips and jealousies and know your limitations and just do the job. The new ego-centric political genre and media (where everything is screamed at us) has got to go. People don’t want weasels calculating angles, vindictive agenda’s, gossip and the playbaby small town gossip mentality (which is what the Congress and Senate have turned into)…they want honesty and someone who works hard and gets the job done. American’s have had enough sleaze, games and drama. Stick to whatever it is you do best (besides “getting even” with everyone, Mrs. Palin). You got used and we all get that but get over it. Save the “I’ll show you mentality” for Mrs. McGillicutty and the coffee clutch crowd down at the diner. Holy Buckets, we’ve had enough alraedy!!!

It was found that this accusation was false: “She was found to have seriously abused her office with her actions surrounding the “troopergate” scandal…”. Please update your research. My political party is now that of an Independent, and since I have been both a card carrying Democrat and Republican for long periods in my past, I must say it is now most enjoyable continually pointing out interesting facts of both parties as one who was once “inside”. Thank you for your time.

Obesity is a preventable disease. It largely happens due to the sedentary lifestyle of people. When people will bother to get rid of this lifestyle, the ghost of obesity may automatically cease. It needs a constant effort by people to maintain good health
