Was Secret CIA Program Dick Cheney’s Executive Assassination Squad?

July 13, 2009

(ChattahBox)—The Wall Street Journal is reporting this morning, based on information obtained from former Intelligence officials, that the secret C.I.A. program withheld from Congress was a counter-terrorism initiative formed to comply with a 2001 presidential authorization to capture or kill al Qaeda operatives.

The secret program also involved discussions of operations to assassinate top al Qaeda leaders, according to the former Intelligence officials.

Current and former government officials claim that the secret program essentially remained in the planning stages for eight years, with some money and manpower invested in training for the terrorist capture and assassination program. The secret program was formed under orders from President Bush under the authority of a presidential legal pronouncement, known as a finding.

These new revelations about the nature of the secret program come on the heels of confirmation this weekend from Democratic lawmaker, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, during an appearance on Fox News, that then Vice President Dick Cheney did in fact order the C.I.A to conceal the program from Congress.

The secret program was also kept secret from Leon Panetta, the head of the C.I.A., until subordinates informed Panetta about the existence of the program on June 23. The C.I.A. subordinates told Panetta they were ordered by Cheney to keep Congress in the dark about the program.

Panetta immediately ended the program and then briefed the Congressional Intelligence oversight committees about the program the next day, which sent shock waves through the halls of Congress.

Observers within Washington began to wonder aloud at what exactly the secret program was involved in. The fact that Dick Cheney issued a directive to the C.I.A. to conceal the program from Congress, suggested that the Bush administration considered the program not only important, but a political mine field.

These new revelations of a secret assassination program seem to lend some credence to Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh’s claims that the Bush administration ran an “executive assassination ring,” which reported directly to Dick Cheney and was kept secret from Congress.

Intelligence officials described to the Wall Street Journal of an out of control C.I.A during the days after the 9/11 attacks. “It was straight out of the movies,” one of the former intelligence officials said. “It was like: Let’s kill them all.”

Congressional Democrats want an investigation into the efforts by Cheney and the Bush administration to unlawfully conceal counter-terrorism programs from Congress. The Republicans claim the White House has the right to keep secrets from Congress and have accused the Democrats of playing politics.

These new revelations of the C.I.A. concealing operations from Congress arrive as lawmakers seek to amend the 1947 Intelligence Authorization Bill, to ensure that Congress is fully informed of future Intelligence activities. Lawmakers want to expand the notice requirements for sensitive briefings from the so-called “Gang of Eight” to include 40 lawmakers.

The White House signaled its concerned about potential limits on executive powers from such an expansion.

In the days and weeks ahead, lawmakers are sure to become embroiled in a battle with the White House and Intelligence agencies over the limits of executive powers, as the 1947 Intelligence law is reformed to allow Congress greater oversight.

Meanwhile, Dick Cheney is “not available for comment.”

Ah, how interesting that Dick Cheney is ‘not available’ for comment! That silence speaks volumes, I’d say.

This continuous weakness by the Democrats in prosecuting Bush, Cheney, Rumpfeeler, and Rice only shows how pathetic the Democratic Party has become.

Clear violations of internation and domestic constitutional law have been made, yet the democrats with a clear majority to take action can’t pull itself together to get anything done. Can’t pass an honest nation health program, can’t pass true finanical reforms for banks and Wall St., literally can’t do anything to protect and serve the American people.

    How disgusting.

And the only thing the Republicans do is steal from us. And that is the crux of the problem: the massive, flagrant theft of US taxpayer dollar serves the selfish individuals on both sides of the isle. This is are most challenging issue in the 21 century we have entered. How will we get a constitutional revolution to rid ourselves of massive corruption in all institutions: legislative, judicial, and executive.

Cheney and Rumsfeld committed war crimes, that much is clear. There may be other Bush administration officials who did as well. This proves we have an untouchable class of people above the law in the United States.

[…] See. it’s only been 20mins into Matthews’ ‘new’ show and he’s already called former Vice President Dick Cheney, “that man” in regards to his involvement in a CIA secret assassination program.  […]

“In her suit, Margie Schoedinger states that George W. Bush committed sexual crimes against her, organized harassment and moral pressure on her, her family members and close relatives and friends. As Schoedinger said, she was strongly recommended to keep her mouth shut. . . . Furthermore, she alleges that George Bush ordered to show pressure on her to the point, when she commits suicide” (go to Google, type “blog of drizzten Margie Schoedinger,” and hit “Enter”).

“George [Bush is personally complicit] in the death (murder to be precise) of my friend Margie Schoedinger in September of 2003. Determining the exact whereabouts and contacts of . . . George Bush on September 21 thru 22, 2003, should be entirely lacking in difficulty” (Leola McConnell—Nevada Progressive Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate in 2010).

McConnell is correct: Bush applying pressure (continuously criminally stalking Margie Schoedinger) purposefully to force Schoedinger to commit suicide does in fact constitute murder where it culminated in her death.

Bush’s method of murdering Schoedinger cannot exist in a vacuum: he must have murdered other people in the same way.

During Bush’s presidency, of course Bush would have desired to kill people whom he hated or get them out of his way. Insofar as Bush was clearly capable of murdering Schoedinger—even in “broad daylight”—and is clearly capable of getting away with it, in consideration of common sense and the laws of human nature, Bush of course murdered numerous people in the disgusting way he murdered Schoedinger. One can examine public information; in various situations where people who sought to oppose or disadvantage Bush ever so frighteningly ended up “committing suicide”—specifically—Bush murdered them just like he murdered Schoedinger. For example, Bush continuously criminally stalked James Howard Hatfield to the point that he could not get away from it, and he committed suicide in desperation to escape: Bush murdered Hatfield. However, the vast majority of such scandalous information will never come out (the grisly details are typically hard to substantiate). A prosecutor really can lawfully charge a former president with murdering one or more people in the disgusting way Bush murdered Schoedinger. The American people unfortunately live in a world where evil presidents can murder any number of people—figuratively—with a wave of a magic wand and get away with it.

BUSH IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CRIMINAL STALKER” or “George W. 1) I’m glad the CIA has been working on ways to hunt al qaeda terrorists.
    2) This misguided anger against Cheney and the CIA is clearly just to cover Pelosi.
    3) Another interesting article on the topic here: https://www.mindreign.com/en/mindshare/World-Politics-and-Current-Events/Let-the-CIA-fight-terrorists/sl34045952bp344cpp5pn1.html
