Sarah Palin’s Tweets Continue To Receive News Coverage

July 18, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Soon to be ex-Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin is very busy these days updating the public via Twitter on her activities and personal and political reflections from the deep recesses of her mind, including quoting Aristotle, as she prepares to officially give up her office on July 31.

And in a testament to her popularity and news-making divisiveness, most of her tweets are making the news and being treated as stand-alone news pieces.

The Politico recently managed to write a 250-word piece on one of Palin’s tweets about grizzly bears entitled, “Sarah Palin tweets ode to mama grizzlies.” Palin tweeted a few words about the protective nature of mama grizzly bears, after a visit with wildlife biologists in Alaska.

“Much to see in wild territory incl amazing creatures w/mama bears’ gutteral raw instinct to protect & provide for her young,” Palin tweeted from her Blackberry. Eric Boehlert at Media Matters questioned how such a tweet could become “news.”

On Friday, Palin tweeted about her freedom from the reins of political office, counting down the days until she hands over her duties on July 31 to her Lieutenant Governor.

“elected is replaceable;Ak WILL progress! + side benefit=10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site,” tweeted Palin. Palin also encouraged her Twitter followers to continue to follow her on her new private Twitter account.

“I’ll stay in touch w/whomever wants via personal twtr site;launch July 26;” wrote Palin on Friday. The online site Politics Daily wrote a stand-alone piece on Palin’s tweets, entitled “Sarah Palin Promises to be Less Politically Correct on Twitter.”

The piece concluded that Palin’s latest tweets were evidence of “…part of the groundwork for a future campaign.” And that Palin was “teasing” her adoring public with hints of the new “rogue” Sarah Palin, unfettered from the constraints of holding office as Alaska’s governor.

According to Politics Daily: “Politics watchers wait with bated breath for the thoughts that will fly from her fingertips. The summer political sizzle is about to get a whole lot hotter.”

Today, Palin is tweeting, “Dry conditions in other parts of enormous state r ripe for wildfires, ie along Railbelt; busy firefighters shown in action, will attach vid.”

Will there now appear a news piece somewhere this weekend on Palin’s firefighting tweet?

This is scaring the life out of liberals! What else could explain the increased evidence of panic in their editorials. McCain & Palin lost the election but the insults and slams kept coming…she attempted to return to Alaska and do her job but the insults and slams kept coming…..Probably the far left thought they could slam her so hard she would never get back up…..SURPRISE!!! On the 26th of JULY…. we’re going to see some action…EVERYONE will be tuned in!

I hope Sarah Palin does go “rogue”. I hope she shakes up the Republican party. We sure need it. We need an overhaul!

I’m looking forward to seeing what Sarah Palin is going to do. If she left because she just cannot handle the heat then she is done. If the quit to free herself for more aggressive party wide efforts than her resignation might be a good thing.
