Manson Follower Released After More Than 30 Years Behind Bars

August 14, 2009

Texas (ChattahBox) – Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, a former follower of Charlies Manson and member of his infamous ‘family’, has been released from prison after over 30 years.

Fromme was reportedly released at 8 A.M. from the Federal Medical Center Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas, where the 60-year-old had been for 34 years.

Fromme was not arrested in connection to the Manson murders that have left several other key members of the Manson Family behind bars. She was arrested in 1975 for pulling a loaded pistol on then-President Gerald Ford.

She had finished her sentence a year ago, but was required to serve another year for an attempted jail-break in 1987, after she learned that Charles Manson had been diagnosed with cancer. She had been attempting to go to his aid, showing her continued obsession and support for the cult leader.

No one is sure where it is that Fromme has chosen to go, but she was required to establish a place of residence before her release.
