Travel Guide Icon Arthur Frommer Refuses To Visit Arizona Over Gun Laws

August 24, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – Arthur Frommer, the famous traveler who writes a number of popular travel guides for tourists, says that he refuses to go to Arizona at the moment due to what he believes to be reckless firearm laws.

Frommer expressed shock when he learned that protesters showed up at a meeting where President Obama was speaking with loaded handguns and rifles.

“I will cancel any plans to vacation or otherwise visit in Arizona until I learn more, and I will begin thinking about whether tourists should safeguard themselves by avoiding stays in Arizona,” he was quoted by Fox.

The mayor Phoenix is trying for some quick damage control, inviting the writer to the state, where he hopes they can ‘clear up any misunderstandings’.

Now that I know Frommer is a scared little panty waist liberal, afraid of his fellow citizens instead of afraid of abuse of power by our government, I will boycott all Frommer publications. I urge all citizens who defend our right to bear arms to boycott this liberal handwringer and all his publications.

Frommer said “I will cancel any plans to vacation or otherwise visit in Arizona until I learn more, and I will begin thinking about whether tourists should safeguard themselves by avoiding stays in Arizona,” Afraid you will wee weed your little panties if you see a responsible fellow citizen with a firearm???

Frommer should leave the USA; after all, we allow citizens to own firearms. HE should go live in the UK, where there is no crime whatosever due to the strict laws preventing citizens from obtaining firearms. Or Mexico. Mexicans never have to worry about being shot (excpet by police, and criminals). /sarcasm

A liberal is someone who can generalize and express their prejudices freely so long as they don’t utter any one of the three forbidden words in that expression: Gays, Women, Blacks.

The prejudice that still exists in this country is understandable. We never tried to eradicate it. We simply did our best to rechannel it.

We are headed toward an economic civil war where liberals & conservatives are mounting boycotts for absurd reasons. The most absurd reason appears to be exercising one’s Constitutional rights whether it be 1st or 2nd Amendment rights.

I think Frommer should visit Washington DC (murder capital of the US)

This is what gets me. No one has said folks don’t have a right to have guns. NO ONE. But I haven’t seen/heard a single explanation yet that says ‘why’ or to what purpose, people are showing up to group events armed. What is it for? To exercise the right of gun ownership? Well that already exists and isn’t being discussed. So WHY?

For folks to act as if this is a normal everyday thing is ludicrous. Can there be a dialogue with logic and reason? Here’s my reasoning: with our US history of gun violence in regards to our public figures (Lincoln, Kennedy, Kennedy, King, Reagan et al) I cannot fathom a single sound point that says it’s a good idea to have loaded weapons at a public event. NONE.

Whether I agree with the current administration or not I find this behavior to be reckless and completely unsound. It comes across as bullies and intimidation and it sickens me. I truly hope someone can give me a reasonable way of looking at this. I’m willing to listen.
