Family Member who Called 911 Charged with Brutal Georgia Mobile Home Deaths

September 4, 2009

Georgia (ChattahBox) —  Glynn County Police have re-arrested Guy Heinze, Jr., a family member who called 911 to report finding family members killed in their Georgia trailer, for eight counts of murder in the first degree. Heinze Jr., the son of one of the victims, Guy Heinze Sr., 45, of last week’s killings told police he was not home when the killings occurred.  In a frantic 911 call early last Saturday, Heinze Jr. had told a dispatcher “My whole family’s dead!”

Also killed were Rusty Toler Sr., his four children, two siblings (including Heinze Sr.) and his daughter’s boyfriend. Reports have indicted some if not all the victims had been bludgeoned to death. A grave side funeral for the victims was held Saturday, while a 3-year-old who was gravely injured struggles on life support at a Savannah hospital.  Heinze Jr., was charged earlier in the week with having a controlled substance and marijuana, as well as tampering with evidence and making false statements to a police officer, but was released from jail Thursday afternoon.
