The Garrido’s Put In Isolation Over Inmate Threats

September 14, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – Both Nancy and Phillip Garrido have been moves into isolation after receiving threats that they will be raped and murdered by fellow inmates.

Phillip has been in isolation since first arriving in the prison, due the nature and high profile status of his case.

But Nancy has only just been moved in, after being told by other female inmates that they were going to rape and kill her, a common threat for such cases in prison.

The alleged accomplice to the kidnapping, holding, and repeated rape of Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was taken in 1991 at the age of 11, and held for 18 years. Phillip Garrido also kept two children, which he fathered with Jaycee, in the backyard their entire lives.

It is believed that Nancy was the one who made the snatch, pulling Jaycee into the car while Phillip drove, a story which matches up to the eyewitness accounts, which say a woman grab the young girl.

Nancy is also said to have been the one who kept Jaycee imprisoned during a four month stretch that her husband spent in prison.

Sources have said that the woman is “lonely”, and spending most of her time in her high security cell, reading the bible.

Both she and her husband have been described as as religious fanatics, and Phillip has alluded to religion being somehow involved in their actions.

They are expected to both ask for bail at their next court hearing, though it is doubtful that either will be approved.
