FBI and Police Raid New York City Homes in Joint Terror Investigation

September 15, 2009

(ChattahBox) — New York City police and the FBI raided several apartment homes in the borough of Queens early on Monday as part of an investigation into suspected terrorism, walking out with bags and boxes of evidence. A suspected terrorist who has been under surveillance, described as an ethnic Afghan resident of the Midwest in his 20s – who may have previously lived in Queens – had driven to New York City in recent days and visited multiple apartments in Queens over the weekend, the New York Post reported.
Authorities raided two apartment buildings blocks from each other in a working-class residential area, including one home shared by five Afghan men, taking some of them in for questioning, said one man who was questioned.  A federal search warrant mentioning bomb-making components such as powder, gel, TNT, and nitroglycerin were among the items to be seized.  Members of U.S. Congress briefed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation said there was no imminent danger.  However uncertainty over the scope of the threat, prompted the raids. Authorities said there were no arrests.

What do you mean ‘there were no arrests’? What the hell did they conduct the raid for–to congratulate then on their fine planning skills? Kid gloves and political correctness are going to destroy this country. Its time to shoot first and ask questions later, Where is Harry Truman when we need him?
