Police allegedly have damning forensic evidence against Raymond Clark in Annie Le murder

September 18, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Interesting details have emerged in the case against Yale University animal research lab custodian Raymond Clark III the arrested suspect in the killing of Annie Le who worked in the same lab. Repeating the gory details quickly first, Le’s body was found stuffed behind a wall in the laboratory Sunday, which was to have been her wedding day. Results of an autopsy revealed she died of “traumatic asphyxiation,” but there has been no confirmation whether Le had been a victim of sexual assault.

While police may not have a specific motive for the killing yet, it may not matter because there is allegedyl a litany of evidence linking Clark to the murder. According to the NY Daily News, DNA tests matched Annie Le’s blood on Clark’s boots, which have his name on them (the tightly wound are almost always anal), and her DNA and hair were found on his clothing. Clark’s DNA was also found on Le’s body and clothing ruling out he merely passed through the murder scene.  When Clark was interviewed, after Le went missing, he allegedly denied seeing her the day of the killing, so he’s got no alibi about how his DNA got on her and her DNA got on him.

There is also that rumor about a failed lie detector test. Also according to the Daily News, Clark failed on the question, “Do you know where she (Annie Le) is now?” and immediately lawyer-ed up. And then there are the detailed computer security records from Yale suggested he was the last person to see her alive. According to the Daily News, authorities were able to clearly track Clark’s movements and they are quite damning. He spent nearly an hour in the room with Le’s body after the murder, and then suddenly started moving from room to room, as if he were searching for a place to hide the body. The records have him returning to the room where she was killed and finally heading toward the utilities conduit where the body was later found.
