Glenn Beck Draws Protests During Key Acceptance Ceremony

September 27, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – Glenn Beck drew the ire of protesters during a ceremony where he accepted the key to his hometown, a symbolic gesture of honor that many there felt he did not deserve.

It is hard to say how many supporters there were, versus protesters. Most are reporting a fairly even amount on both sides, with perhaps a few more protesters than supporters, though a few reports are saying as many as twice the number could have been there.

In any case, officials say that at least 800 protesters stood outside the ceremony, holding signs with slogans such as ‘Scare the Villagers Elsewhere’, while a plane circled the sky ahead with a banned that said ‘Change The Locks’.

The protesters say that they are against Beck receiving the key in his hometown because of many of his comments, such as calling President Obama a racist, and what they call fear-mongering propangda.

Seattles Daily Record reported 7,000 supporters and 24 protesters, and they were there to see it.

“Outside, meanwhile, a few dozen people protested,”

Seattle’s Daily Record is a right-wing newspaper. Just like Faux News, they tell lies and pretend it’s the news.
