Newsmax: Seditionist Columnist Is Just Some ‘Unpaid Blogger’

(ChattahBox)—Newsmax is now distancing itself from its seditionist columnist, John L. Perry, who wrote in great detail on Tuesday of a “military coup” to “resolve the Obama problem,” by claiming that Perry is just some “unpaid blogger.” Newsmax’s claim is far from the truth.

Additionally, Perry has been a contributing writer for Newsmax, since 1999, writing nearly a column every week since that time. He also served on the site as senior editor, from late 1999 until October 2001. His bio is also prominently displayed along with other writers on the site, such as Dick Morris, John Stossel, Ben Stein, Grover Norquist and Christopher Ruddy, the owner and editor-in-chief on Newsmax.

Newsmax’s statement about Perry’s article, entitled “Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention,” was provided by the site’s spokesperson Paula Pradines to Talking Points Memo:

“He has no official relationship with Newsmax other than as an unpaid blogger,” she said.

“Newsmax strongly believes in the principles of Constitutional government, and would never advocate or insinuate any suggestion of an activity that would undermine our democracy or democratic institutions,” said Pradines.

Then Pradine added that Perry “clearly stated that he was not advocating such a scenario but simply describing one.”

Oh really Ms. Pradine? Perry not only heartily endorsed a military coup against the federal government of the United States, but he also suggested that Military officers were at this very moment considering it.

“A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama’s radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible,” wrote Perry.

“Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation,” Perry wrote.

In one insane breathless sentence after another in over 600 words, Perry describes his wish for senior military officers to rise up and stage a “bloodless” and civilized” coup to throw out President Obama and install some sort of martial law to “defend the Constitution through an interim administration.”

Newsmaxx can’t run away from this, by scrubbing the article from its site and then disingenuously stating that Perry is just some “unpaid blogger’ they found on a street corner.

Of additional note; the Republican National Committee is a sponsor of the Newsmax site. A recent email signed by RNC chairman Michael Steele, describes the RNC, as “our sponsor.”

    It should be noted that Perry is an old man, and would be at little or no personal risk if he managed to incite armed revolt; the people doing the shooting would be young, poor, and ignorant.

    Those who preach the ways of violence are seldom in any danger of suffering if the violence they ask for actually takes place; they are cowards and opportunists, looking to increase their wealth or power at the expense of those who can least afford it.

    I cannot imagine a bloodless coup of this nature.

    I cannot imagine a bloodless coup of this nature because the coup attempt imagined by John L Perry would encounter a bloody resistance. The supporters of the American Constitution and American Government are not pussies.

    Any member of the military, officer or enlisted, who even entertains the thought of overthrowing the elected President of the United States is a traitor.

    John L Perry is an enemy combatant of the United States of America.

    This man appears to be old and racist. Everyone hates Obama, did all the people that hated Bush try to overthrough the government? A Black man is in office, and old racist people are so mad that they can’t see straight. God has the final say about everything rather we like it or not, one day when Jesus returns, we will all be in for quite a suprise! Violence is not the answer, and violent people always reap what they sow, he will go to his grave bitter and mad, and risk spending eternity in hell!!!!
