Ebay Blocks Vile Benefit Auction for Abortion Doctor Killer

October 29, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Ebay is refusing to allow a benefit auction to go forward, planned by supporters of Scott Roeder, who sits in jail charged with first-degree murder for gunning down abortion doctor George Tiller, while Tiller was at his place of worship. The militant anti-abortion supporters of Roeder donated offensive materials promoting murder and violence to raise funds for Roeder to pursue a legal defense of “necessity,” arguing his cold-blooded murder of Doctor Tiller was justifiable homicide. The courts have continued to reject such a defense to murder.

Ebay officials issued a statement on Tuesday: “Based on the details we know about the anticipated listings, we believe these would violate our policy regarding offensive material. Ebay will not permit the items in question to be posted to the eBay site, and they will be removed if they are posted.”

“we do not allow items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity and will not be a platform for those who promote violence toward others,” added Ebay.

Roeder’s supporters donated such offensive items, as a reprint of an Army of God manual that described ways to bomb abortion clinics, and even provides bomb recipes. So much for “pro life.” Dave Leach, an Iowa abortion opponent who is organizing the Ebay auction, published the manual in 1996 in his magazine, Prayer and Action News.

Shelley Shannon, the violent anti-abortion terrorist, who wounded Tiller in 1993 and was later convicted of multiple abortion clinic bombings and arson, donated prison recipes.

Regina Dinwiddie, another militant anti-abortion activist, contributed an autographed bull horn used to harass abortion clinics and their patients, when they sought out a legally protected medical service.

And last but not least murderer Roeder, offered autographed drawings, he made while in prison. One drawing was of David and Goliath that depicted David holding the head of Goliath with the name “Tiller” emblazoned on Goliath’s forehead. The words “child-murdering industry” were written on the corpse.

Kudos to Ebay for rejecting this offensive auction, that not only glorifies murder, but promotes further violence. Lee Thompson, an attorney for the Tiller family sent a letter to Ebay on behalf of Tiller’s widow, Jeanne Tiller denouncing the planned auction.

“These materials contain hate messages, glorify violence against abortion doctors who provide constitutionally protected medical services, and instruct on means of violence, including bombing, of abortion clinics,” wrote Thompson.

Roeder’s ex-wife, Lindsey Roeder also contacted Ebay opposing the benefit auction. “I believe that this auction could incite more violence on abortion clinics and doctors. I do not believe that canceling this auction will in any way hinder Scott’s right to an adequate defense, as he has a good team of public defenders,” wrote Lindsey Roeder in an email.

Of course, the militant anti-abortion terrorists are howling that the banning of the vile auction violates their First Amendment rights. No citizen has a right to incite violence and murder and engage in domestic terrorism.

Nevertheless, these slime balls are posting stuff on eBay anyway. These people and their associates should be booted from eBay at once. Violating TOS could land them in court.

Supporters of the man had said that they wanted to raise money to pay for Scott Roeder’s defense. They planned to auction off items including an Army of God manual, an underground publication for anti-abortion militants that describes ways to shut down clinics, including bombing.
