Senator Hatch: Dems ‘Diabolical’ to Push ‘Socialized Medicine’

November 2, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Conservative Republican Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah made some over-the-top bizarre statements this morning, calling Democrats “diabolical” for proposing to repair the broken health care system in our country, where the lack of health insurance kills nearly 47,000 annually and is responsible for the majority of personal bankruptcies.

During a Monday morning interview with conservative outlet, CNSNews.com, Hatch even went so far to say that the enactment of what he calls “Socialized medicine,” would somehow destroy the country’s system of a two-party government.

Sen. Hatch, 75, described an unhinged scenario where health care reform would force American citizens to rely on the Democratic Party to meet all of their basic needs, which would render the Republican Party obsolete.

Hatch called the health care reform bills, as a “step-by-step approach to socialized medicine.”

“And if they get there, of course, you’re going to have a very rough time having a two-party system in this country, because almost everybody’s going to say, ‘All we ever were, all we ever are, all we ever hope to be depends on the Democratic Party, asserted Hatch.

“That’s their goal. That’s what keeps Democrats in power,” claimed Hatch. The befuddled Senator then launched into his claims that Democrats are “diabolical.”

“Do I believe they’re that diabolical? I don’t believe most of them are, but I think some of them are,” Hatch said. “Maybe diabolical’s too harsh of a word, but the fact is, they really, really believe in socialized medicine,” Hatch said.

The conservative lawmaker’s assertions have a not quite sane tone of a loony conspiracy theory, where diabolical Democrats are rubbing their hands together with glee, as their secret plot unfolds to plunge America into Socialism, by providing people with good affordable health care.

To characterize Hatch’s statements, as unhinged is an understatement.

Yes, it certainly would be a terrible, Satanic thing if poor non-White people, and especially poor non-White women, got any level of health care that was better than “go die in the street, you Colored trash!”

Orrin Hatch: as progressive as flint arrowheads! As tolerant as the KKK!
