Ohio Approves New Casinos For Four Cities

November 4, 2009

Ohio (ChattahBox) – Gamblers rejoice! Ohio has chosen to open up four new casinos in four cities, after voters opted for the option in hopes of new jobs, and increased revenue for the state.

The vote finished with a 53% positive vote, passing the measure easily.

“Our message from day one has been very simple: jobs and money have been leaving the state. And I think people have seen it and they responded,” Charlie Luken, the head campaigner for Issue 3, explained. “And you add on to that the fact that the economy is so bad. I think that people want more jobs in Ohio.”

This is the first yes vote for casinos since 1990.
