Secret Service admits shame as photos reveal gate crashers greeted by President Obama

November 28, 2009

(ChattahBox) — I think this picture speaks a thousand words, as to how badly the secret service blew it the other day.  Michaele and Tareq Salahi, somehow made it through a Secret Service checkpoint and gate-crashed President Obama’s first state dinner Tuesday night, honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Fortunately the socialite couple were motivated only by fame, and were promoting themselves for a gig on Bravo’s new reality show, “Real Housewives of D.C., but  in so doing exposed alarming flaws in White House security.  With threats against President Obama soaring nearly 400 percent, since he took office, Director of the Secret Service, Mark Sullivan, saying that his agency was “deeply concerned and embarrassed” by the events.
The secret service is quick to point out the Salahi’s did go through metal detectors, before entering the dinner, however, critics point out, the party-crashers could have carried a dangerous chemical agent, such as Anthrax into the White House undetected.  Although the couple’s lawyer claim his clients didn’t gate-crash, the Secret Service is preparing to file criminal charges against the couple, according to Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin.

Please let’s not have a zillion stories on these people and make them celebrities. The story is over . They crashed the party – they should not have – let the SS do its investigation and forget about it. There are far more important stories to cover.

    Harshest punishment MUST be inflicted.
Example must be sent to all peoples.
Being too SOFT ON CRIME….white collar or blue collar CRIME IS CRIME.
What’s wrong w/ the next generation? We’re not setting good example.
NIP IT IN THE BUD NOW.

    Shameful.

It is just shameful that a white couple was allowed in to shake hands with the President.

Those Secret Service agents that are racist and bias towards white couples over people of color and gays should be fired immediately.

The very idea of a white couple being able to enjoy a party at the white house makes all proper persons shutter.

One hopes the Secret Service tracks these people down and makes sure they know where their place is in the future.

The Attorney General of the United States needs to make an example out of them. If you do not put them in their place now, then next whites will think a white couple can stand outside a polling station with a club and intimidate reporters in the same way that brothers are allowed to legally use clubs today ! ! !

What a crazy story. Someone from the Secret Service had to get fired/reassigned for this. I wonder what they said to get in, and if they lied about who they were or their credentials.
