Get Ready for Tea Party Recruitment Thursday!

December 1, 2009

(ChattahBox)— If you see a tea party “patriot” lurking behind your bushes this Thursday, carrying a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag and mumbling something incoherently about the government keeping its hands off Medicare, you can either lock your doors, or invite the teapartier in to have a chat about that Socialist, secret Muslim fellow currently inhabiting the White House. The national organizers of the Tea Party Patriots are promoting a recruitment drive on Dec. 3, to find like-minded folks who enjoy being used as dupes by corporate front groups to fight against their own self interests.

The Tea Party Patriots sent out an email blast, announcing the details of the recruitment effort, which was obtained by Talking Points Memo:

“Tell them why you are a member of the tea party movement and ask them if they agree with our core principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets … If you send emails, follow up with phone calls to the people to add a personal touch.”

As corporate Astroturf groups like Americans for Prosperity and Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks, step up their efforts to kill health care reform and legislation to curb global warming; the teapartiers are looking for a few good men and women who wouldn’t mind being herded into buses to travel to various protests, to carry offensive anti-Obama signs.

“It is imperative that we grow our membership in the coming weeks to continue to build momentum, communicate with like-minded Americans, and increase our effectiveness,” read the email.

The tea party email made note of upcoming health care reform protests. Teapartiers from Vermont and New York plan to storm the Capitol on Wednesday to convince Senators to vote against the health care reform bill currently in debate. And the national group seems to be planning another large-scale effort to descend on the steps of the Capitol building in a repeat performance of Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) “Superbowl of freedom.” Bachmann’s tea party rally resulted in protesters carrying offensive bigoted, racist and anti-Semitic signs.

“[I]t looks like we are going to ask people from around the country to go back to DC on December 15th. We will have more details after the Leadership Conference Call and also after National Coordinators meet with a few other like-minded organizations this week. Do not make reservations yet, but do pencil it in on your calendars. We will have more details on these dates in the next day or two.”

On Wednesday, Dick Armey is hosting a premier in Washington, DC of the highly mockable and ridiculous, “Tea Party: The Movie.”

I read your post with amusement. It appears that some refuse to understand the truth of what is going on and try to spin the truth into a lie. You obviously do not have a clue what the real motivation is of the American people. You insult them by equating them with what the Unions due – hire people, sometimes they don’t even speak English like in CO when Pelosi visited, and then bus them in, feed them on the way home, etc. There were 450 buses that arrived in Washington D.C. on 9-12, for example, for the Conservative Protest. Name one corporation that paid for a bus? You speak blather, meaningless blather. Each bus was filled with people, many who gave up a day’s work to travel, or worked all day and rode all night arriving just in time to march, who paid with their own money.

I know the unions bus in people, all with their pre-printed signs, with dinner paid for on the way home. I know of not one example of this in the Tea Party movment on 9-12. Out of 450 buses, even 1% would be 4.5 buses. I throw down the guantlet. Prove that 4 buses were paid for with corporate funds and the so called dupes did what they were told, left their homes, rode all night, marched, got back on the buses, rode all night, all becaue they were told to and the bus ride was free. You insult the intelligence of the most mundane and ignorant of readers, of which you seem to have a couple from the two comments I read.

Get real, folks. What we are involved with is war without bullets. There is a war for the heart and soul of this country going on and the future holds either a broke and much poorer America in the future that is just another has-been-European-Socialist country, or we will be the continued great and wonder country that people from all over the world flock to get into and live in. Why? Because America is truly a wonderful country with untold opportunities. Only the spoiled, fat Americans don’t seem to understand or see the opportunities. There is no sitting back and playing blogger going forward. Everyone is going to have skin in this game and make no mistake, this is about power and the spitting apart of the nation. You are entering the most dangerous time in this nation’s history since the Civil War and don’t have 2 cents of understanding that the 1/2 of people who actually pay taxes (1/2 don’t pay a dime) are fed up and broken down by rules, regulations and a Federal Government that has not only bankrupted our future, but is bankrupting your future, too.

I wouldn’t be too happy as I skipped into a lower standard of living, all the while Europe and Africa smack their lips in anticipation of trillions of dollars of your future being transferred to other countries, all under the guise of Carbon Credits – the new money of the new World Order. You have no clue what is going on, which is truly sad because the American people have let down the next generation by not teaching them of the blood, sweat, tears and death that gave them this country and this opportunity to live – called America.

I know you don’t and will not understand. I expect no less from you.

It would also be a good idea to encourage people to start up their own websites or myspaces to get the message out there even more, what do you think?
