Rep. Grayson Has a Message for Dick Cheney: STFU

December 10, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), the firebrand freshman Congressman, is known for his headline-making one liners and entertaining rhetoric. And he is not a fan of former Vice President Dick Cheney; who since leaving office, has behaved despicably with his constant attempts to portray President Obama, as a radical, who does not love America like the rest of us. Yesterday, Cheney went one step further, appearing on Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s show, where he accused President Obama of treason, saying his decision to try 9/11 terrorist suspect Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in a civil court amounted to “aid and comfort to the enemy.”

Appearing on MSNBC’s Hardball last night with Chris Matthews, Rep. Grayson was asked to respond to Cheney’s disgraceful attacks. And he had a message for Cheney that many of us say in privately: STFU.

Mathews was shocked by Cheney’s attacks yesterday and asked Grayson his thoughts on the snarling former vice president:

“GRAYSON: “I don’t know. You know, on the Internet there’s an acronym that’s used to apply to situations like this. It’s called “STFU.” I don’t think I can say that on the air, but I think you know what that means.”

MATTHEWS: “Well, give me the first part.”

GRAYSON: “Shut.”

MATTHEWS: “Oh! I got you. Stop talking, in crude language. Well, I don’t think you’re gonna get him to do that.”

It’s hard to believe that Matthews had never heard of STFU, by the way.

When asked about Cheney’s claim that Obama’s bow of respect to the Emperor of Japan was a display of weakness that would lead to more terrorist attacks, Grayson said: “It’s just too bad that it’s too late to impeach him. That’s all I can say.”

Regarding the continuing Republican attacks about Obama’s bow: “Well what about Bush Junior? I remember Bush Junior kissing Prince Abdullah on the cheek, and then holding his hand for an extended period of time. Maybe if he’d let him get to second base, then gasoline would be a dollar a gallon,” said Grayson.

Andy SerĂ©, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, released a vicious statement responding to Grayson’s remarks:

“The foul mouthed man-child from Orlando is at it again, taking to the airwaves to bring shame to struggling Central Florida families who want jobs, not nut-jobs. But speaking of bases, Alan Grayson’s constituents surely find themselves wishing his parents had never gotten past first.”

What’s truly shameful is Dick Cheney’s dishonorable behavior since leaving office. It’s ironic that he attacks our President as someone who does not love America, when Cheney has shown nothing but contempt for our country and the rule of law. Cheney cares about no one but himself and his political legacy. He is a disgrace.

Cheney did do one thing right while in office; he shot a lawyer in the face. Now if he would just continue that campaign…

Grayson’s an idiot. Just because “aid and comfort to the enemy” is part of the language defining treason doesn’t mean it’s use is always referring to treasonous acts. Oh, by the way, KSM was subjected to waterboarding more than a hundred times and he is still going to appear in court. That makes it clear: waterboarding is NOT torture. Had KSM been subjected a hundred times to, say, what a typical Jew was subjected to on any given day in concentration camp there wouldn’t even be an identifiable toenail remaining. But then what do you nutty libs care about Jews; you don’t even think the holocaust took place, you bunch of Political Correctness suck-ups.

You guys scare the hell out of me. Apparently my comment needs “moderating,” but I guess your “moderating committee” doesn’t meet until next week. It’s okay to talk about shooting someone in the face, but whoa! an opinion that thinks it’s wrong to bring KSM to trial in NYC – we can’t have any of that. You’re like that jackass at MSNBC (I won’t mention his name because you already know who I am referring to) who absolutely refuses to have a guest appear who isn’t in total agreement with his own point-of-view. Wow, what would happen if people like you ever achieved any REAL political power?

    Are you still moderating?

Dems should appoint Alan Grayson the court jester for the party, we only need one good man to respond to the likes of O’reilly, Hannity, Beck, and the other clowns. Maybe he could be a CZAR !
