Irish Bookie Bets on When ‘Gaffe-Prone’ Palin Will Quit Fox Gig

January 12, 2010

(ChattahBox)— Sarah Palin, the former half-term Governor of Alaska has trouble holding down a job. She quit as mayor of her home Town of Wasilla and she quit as governor in the middle of her term. Since then, she has been cashing in on her popularity and star quality with a new ghost-written book, while she posts nonsensical and fact challenged missives on her Facebook page. Well, the unemployed Facebook blogger now has a new gig with the right-wing media outlet Fox News as a frequent contributor. And an Irish bookmaker is taking bets on how long Palin will last at her new job., referring to Palin as “gaffe-prone,” says that so far, about half of the bettors believe the half-term governor won’t make it through her first year at Fox. The latest odds on when Palin will exit are:

“8/1: Before Sept. 1, 2010.

10/11: Between Sept. 1, 2010, and Dec. 31, 2010.

11/10: After Jan. 1, 2010.”

PaddyPower is also taking bets on what minority group she is most likely to offend first. Gays/lesbians/bisexuals are on top at 4-1 odds, followed by African Americans and Muslims, both at 6-1 odds.

All of the Palin-Fox bets can be found here.
