Morning Joe Just Shut Down O’Donnell’s Calling out of Torture Lover Thiessen

February 12, 2010

(ChattahBox)—Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, just made me spit out my morning coffee. As MSNBC and Huffington Post contributor Lawrence O’Donnell, began to call out former Bush speech writer and torture lover Mark Thiessen for his bashing of Obama’s handling of the failed Christmas Day bombing, Scarbough tried to silence O’Donnell and then dramatically spoke into his mike demanding a commercial break, saying he would return and interview Thiessen alone. Scarborough declared up front that he agreed with Thiessen’s premise that Obama was “inviting” another attack by shutting down the CIA’s torture program.

After the commercial break, despite Scarborough’s threat, O’Donnell remained right where he was. Scarborough said he doesn’t condone “crossfire” on his show, but apparently allowing a torture apologist to lie and smear the President with fear-mongering is just fine.

O’Donnell was given 30 seconds to respond to the doughy moon-faced Thiessen and he made the most of it asking how a rich kid who attended an all boy’s prep school in Connecticut with its own golf course and then who went on to college at Vassar and never served a day in the military, became an expert on torture. Before the commercial break, O’Donnell blasted Thiessen for writing a book declaring that President Obama was inviting a terrorist attack.

Thiessen, in a recent article, “Dead Terrorists Tell No Tales” claimed that the Obama administration’s drone missile campaign to take out and disrupt terrorists in Pakistan has been too successful. Thiessen contends that we should capture and then torture them first, before killing them, to extract information. Thiessen is on a media tour to promote his book, “Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama is Inviting the Next Attack.”

O’Donnell’s ad hominem rant was embarrassingly juvenile. With all of the good points to attack Thiessen, that’s what he came up with? No matter how much spit flies from his mouth, O’Donnell is an amateur.

Yaahhh Lawrence O’Donnell. You go, boy…

One of the things I like about Morning Joe is the “conversation”. You may not agree with what is being said but at least there is a civil conversation. O’Donnell’s antics do not match the format of the show. He appears to be attacking guests instead of talking with them.

I started to really pay attention to Lawrence when he reduced Eric Cantor to a babbling idiot this past summer on the same show, Morning Joe.
He is a much needed voice to show the public just how big of hypocrits Republicans are nowadays.
You should see the comments on the neocon websites about this!
Be warned before going to said sites, you will need hipboots to wade through the amount of manure that is being shoveled.
They are screaming like crazy that the big bad Lawrence had NO right to talk to Mr. Snotty that way. Also many of the comments say that this proves that old Lawrence is a crazy radical who probably missed his prozac dose. Truthfully, they are saying that. Makes me laugh. Back when Bush/Cheney et al were in office if ANYONE would have made a statement like Theisenn did against Bush they would be screaming “TREASON”!
They lost and just can’t handle it.

Well, the bottom line is that MSNBC is owned by Microsoft, which is run by a chair-throwing ape in a $5000 suit – and rabidly Republican.

You can’t get impartial news from a neo-nazi “news” organization. MSNBC, Fox – what’s the difference?

Scarborough was a little slow to shut this O’Donnell nut down. He was just yelling at Thiessen, nothing more. The only point he made is that he’s louder and ruder than Thiessen, and pretty unhinged. He should check in with a cardiologist after his next psychiatric appointment because whatever he’s on ain’t working or he ain’t taking his meds.

All this does is show everyone that Liberalism is a mental disorder and let’s just continue going down the road of the Most High Barack O. and see what happens, try to blame George W. Bush our 43rd President of the United States of America when tomorrow or 2 years from tomorrow we wake up to the scene of 150,000 yes I said 150,000 people DEAD.. no bodies to bury because they have been burned to 5000 degrees!!! Because UBL has just unleashed dirty bombs in 5 of nations largest cities.. And after this tragedy, he tells the American People that we will bring them to justice in our CIVIL courts and we need to understand who the terrorists are, or better yet, this was just an isolated incident, you can go about your business, except for the cities that have been devastated.. But guess what we will rebuild those cities, and for the survivors we have a lovely place for them to go.. Siberia.. Don’t worry we will bring you all back.. Can’t Happen?? Wait for it people, Wait for it.. The Lord Jesus Christ is looking at us, and saying “maybe I need to re-think this”

    May God Protect Us!!!
