Palin Joins Right-Wing Armed and Dangerous Mob: ‘Reload’!

March 24, 2010

(ChattahBox)—-The mood of right-wing Americans has turned hysterical, ugly and violent, with the help of fearmongering TV and radio pundits and Republican lawmakers. And Sarah Palin, the half-term Governor of Alaska, Fox News contributor and soon to be reality TV star, (Is Dancing With the Stars Next?) has decided she won’t be left out of the right-wing armed and dangerous crowd, using violent infused rhetoric and apocalyptic falsehoods. Yesterday on Twitter, Palin tweeted an inflammatory call to action for her followers to “reload” in their battle against Democrats and healthcare reform. Her tweet led her followers to her Facebook page, which contained an image of a map of the U.S., showing bullseye crosshairs on the state districts of targeted Democratic lawmakers who voted for the bill. She then urges her followers to contribute cash to her SarahPac, in a first “salvo” in the battle to defeat Democrats.

After the passage and signing into law, of an historic healthcare reform bill that makes long overdue and sweeping changes in our nation’s broken healthcare system, the right-wing has sunk into apocalyptic hysteria. Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, declared the healthcare reform bill “Armageddon.” And leading up towards passage of the bill in the House on Sunday night, Republican lawmakers were whipping groups of confused and angry teapartiers into frenzied mobs, with falsehoods and inflammatory speech. Even while the House was in session, some Republican lawmakers were seen on the Capitol building balcony waving “kill the bill” signs to the chanting tea party protesters in the streets below, after the day before, teapartiers abused, spat and hurled racial and bigoted slurs towards Democratic lawmakers.

And in a frightening development, one right-wing activist-blogger and former militia member, posted on his blog, a call to action for “Sons of Liberty” opposing healthcare reform to engage in violence and destruction, by throwing bricks through the office windows of Democratic lawmakers across the country. So far, several Democratic offices  have reported acts of vandalism, including the Tuscon office of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), the Monroe County Democratic Committee headquarters in upstate New York, Rep. Louise Slaughter’s (D-NY) Niagara Falls office and the Sedgwick County Democratic Party headquarters in Wichita.

Attached to the brick hurled through the window of the upstate New York Democratic office, was a threatening and misspelled note quoting conservative Barry Goldwater: “Exremism [sic] in defense of liberty is no vice.” And Rep. Slaughter, also received a frightening recorded message on her campaign office answering machine threatening the murder of lawmakers’ children: “Assassinate is the word they used…toward the children of lawmakers who voted yes.”

And that’s not all. A Lynchburg Tea Party leader published the home address of Rep. Thomas Perriello (D-VA) on his blog, encouraging enraged teapartiers to “drop by” the lawmaker’s home for a “personal” and ” face-to-face chat.” But the teapartier in question, Mike Troxel, published instead, the home address of Rep. Perriello’s brother, who has four children under the age of eight. Troxel refused to remove the address from his blog. As a result, Politico is reporting that local law enforcement is investigating an incident at the brother’s home, which occurred after his home address was posted on the Virginia teapartier’s blog.

Against this violent backdrop, Sarah Palin decided to irresponsibly make use of violent and inflammatory rhetoric using gun language in her tweet message:

Commonsense Conservatives & Lovers of America: “Don’t Retreat – Instead RELOAD!” Pls see my Facebook page.

Palin’s Facebook page makes use of tired discredited GOP claims of a “transformative government takeover of our health care system today.” And she then targets “those House members who voted in favor of Obamacare and represent districts that Senator John McCain and I carried during the 2008 election.” She continues with her violence infused language, saying “We’ll aim for these races and many others. This is just the first salvo in a fight…”

Political leaders and elected officials are expected to be responsible with their public statements and not condone or incite behavior that could lead towards violence. Sarah Palin and other GOP leaders have fallen way short of this standard of late.

IF the people taking aim at Sarah Palin’s brain use a good scope, they won’t have to reload. Unfortunately, they’ll need a cross between an X-Ray scanner and an electron microscope; nothing else can magnify a lonesome, individual nerve cell that’s entirely surrounded by bone.

    LOL. This is funny stuff!

Liberalism is a mental disorder. It is both oppressive and regressive, not progressive. It cheats, discriminates, extorts, gauges, kills, lies, rapes, and steals for profit. Those are the results (not always the intentions or desires)!

Also, republicans earn flack only when being liberal. Enemies of conservatism can shove it up their butts.

These sites are amazing how the nut jobs come out of teh woodwork, on both sides of teh isle! Sarah Palin I am sure is a valuable and nice woman. WHy call her names, why say she is stupid? She makes more money in one day than most of you nay sayers will the rest of your life. Is that a measure of a person? Not entirely but it is a measure. I always find it interesting that teh left can’t just let her be! Seems like that indicates she must be a realistic threat to their arguments of their policies. I don’t hate her, I don’t hate Obama. I do think what this administration has been doing us so destructive to our countries future! We have to be able to pay for all of these things! I am very concerned! Very concerned.

There are persons at the extremes who turn to violence on both the liberal (murdering doctors) and the conservative (Oklahoma City bombing) so name-calling and finger-pointing are hypocritical.

However, after the current administration continued the bailouts of millionaires on Wall Street, fiddling while Rome burned so to speak, and now ignoring more than 62% of the population (according to the MSN poll on Monday) who did not want this health bill, you have to wonder if the US isn’t turning into some kind of third world nation in which the lawmakers simply raid the treasury and leave the rest of us broke.

I listen to the rhetoric about the “American People want this and want that,” and I wonder WHO ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT? Congress has a terrible disapproval rating and they simply continue business as usual.

This administration made promises about working together, but that isn’t what happened. Instead they acted with bullying and arrogance to push the bill through quickly. And to what purpose? The drug companies will get paid even more by the taxpayer. The insurance companies will get more premiums from people forced to pay for them. The doctors will still make obscene amounts of money for seeing patients for 5 minutes. And the politicians will still get their campaigns funded.

What we need is health classes in schools. Mandatory gym classes. And if you are already on Medicare or Medicaid, and you are overweight, you should be required to lose weight on a regular basis to keep your benefits. Obesity is the greatest cause of health care issues in the U.S. Second, is addiction. This healthcare bill doesn’t address that so many people do not take care of themselves –alcoholism, drug addiction, obesity, lack of exercise and proper diet, etc. — things that have to do with personal responsibility.

Can’t control your drug addition, alcohol consumption, smoking, anger? I can’t stand to hear it anymore since my tax dollars have been paying for those problems (jails, higher insurance rates, etc.) since I started paying taxes. There are free programs in every city that everyone can take advantage of and change their mental and physical health for FREE.

Republicans are just like any other bully…get your butt kicked and you make an excuse about it being too many of them! Get out voted…make violent threats against the political rival! Post people’s home addresses and throw bricks through windows…leave threatening voicemails regarding someone’s children. Some of you are pathetic but rest assured your actions are being watched. And you never know when someone will take your idle threat and make it into your reality.

Just curious who written by “Sue” is? If you are going to write an article, why can’t you use your full name? Kind of hard to respect someone who can dish it out, but not stand behind it with full disclosure…don’t you think?

    Sarah Palin.
Thesaurus: moron, idiot, nincompoop, incompetent, unintelligent, inapt, incapable, lost, dim-witted, obtuse, brainless, dense, laughable, ridiculous, injudicious, slow, dull, unwise, foolish, silly, stupid, irrational, mindless, senseless, boring, childish, tantrum-prone, meaningless, pointless, needless, worthless, futile, irrelevant, inconsequential, insignificant, rubbish, hollow, valueless, ineffectual, inadequate, of no use, pathetic, dismal, feeble, sad, wretched, pitiable, baloney, drivel, babble, hot air, gobbledygook, gibberish, twaddle, hogwash, humbug, hooey, bunkum, & COMPLETELY USELESS.

The writer probably used Sue so that the teabagger won’t shoot up his or her house or that of relatives. The baggers seem to lust for civil war. Loosing has thrown them into a perpetual tantrum. Damaged goods.

Unfortunately, Sarah is popular in the same mindset that American Idol is popular. She is viscerally appealing to America. Until she opens her mouth. She will be prove to be the downfall of the GOP if in fact she runs for President in the next election. America needs to get away for a two-party system. We REALLY need change. It’s not coming from the left, and it’s not coming from the right.

I no longer look at Palin as comic relief. After learning about her incendiary remarks about targeting Democrats who voted for the health care reform, I view her as a horribly dangerous person. She is ignorant, intellectually incurious, and willing to say anything to stay in the spotlight. So much so that she says things she knows will create frenzy in people like the Teabaggers.

With everything that has happened lately–the verbal abuse of and spitting on
black congressment as well as abusing the gay member, disconnecting the gas connection at the home of a congressman’s brother, and vandalizing the office of a New York representative–the last thing we need is someone who to add fuel to a raging fire.

This country really does need health care reform, and this is a step in the right direction. It’s appalling to hear the derogatory terms applied to people, many of whom lack health insurance through no fault of their own. People are called welfare recipients, parasites, etc. If the Republicans had wanted input, they have had all year to offer something instead of just saying no even after some of their ideas were adopted. But people like Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, Bachmann, and
some Congress members need to be held accountable in no uncertain terms for their roles in helping to fan the flames of hatred. There is nothing funny, cute, or appealing about a 46-year-old woman whose desire to be “relevant” induces her to make stupid, irresponsible statements and, therefore, help to stoke anger, fear, and hatred.

It’s sad to see Sarah Palin is so angry at herself for not being woman enough to give birth to a proper baby that she has to take it out on the rest of America.

And what does she know about US politics? She lives in Alaska for chirst sakes. She’s not a Real American.

  14. Shelley on March 25th, 2010 11:30 pm

Ever wonder if you are being played? Aren’t you curious to learn what the facts are? Where is the proof behind the accusations of these teabaggers? Rev Jackson’s son was filming the crowd, but I’ve yet to see his video. And if there is proof, has anyone asked what political affiliation the “violators” hold? All teabaggers are not Republicans or even Conservatives, a good many of them are Democrats. I just want to know what the truth is and then be allowed to make up my own mind. I don’t need to be force feed the party line. Open your mind America and develop an informed, intelligent, independent decision of your own about your country.

Using “gun” analogies to describe your fight against health care reform might be in bad taste but it hardly rises to the level of incitement.
Even Obama used a gun analogy when talking about fighting his opponents. He actually mentioned bringing a gun to the fight. So get off of this blame Palin crap.
I dont like her either but this stuff is just stupid
