Teens Charged In Bully Suicide Case, Plead Not Guilty

April 7, 2010

US (ChattahBox) – Three teens have entered ‘not guilty’ pleas in charges related to the suicide of a 15-year-old Irish immigrant who prosecutors say was tormented daily by the three and others.

Seventeen year old’s Sean Mulveyhill and Kayla Narey, 17, and eighteen year old Austin Renaud, have been charged with various crimes, from statutory rape to violating another person’s civil rights.

According to the court affidavit, the three, as well as several other younger teens, harassed 15-year-old Phoebe Prince after she had a brief relationship with one of the accused.

Thus began a campaign of torment that included racial slurs, physical violence, and daily terrorizing of the younger student.

It was reported several times but continued, until her body was found hanging in the second-floor stairwell in front of her family’s apartment.

All six students involved in the bullying have been removed from school, and may face other charges.
