CNet Founder Owes More Than $13 Million In Back Taxes

April 14, 2010

California (ChattahBox) – Halsey Minor, the co-founder of the popular consumer review and technology website CNet, has been outed by the same tax delinquency list that exposed Pamela Anderson’s $500,000 tax debt.

According to the California Franchise Tax Board, Minor and his wife Shannon owe an astonishing $13,120,479.39 in personal income taxes to the IRS.

This is the highest in the state of California.

According to Minor, the sum became so high after a lender put a lien on all liquid assets, a move that is illegal under state law, and so he is currently fighting.

However, a judge has already ruled that he does owe $4.4 million for a renegade bids with Sotheby, as well as $2.2 million in accumulated interest on the account.
