‘Iran And Syria Arming Hezbollah Militants’ Gates Claims

April 28, 2010

US (ChattahBox) – US Defense Secretary Robert Gates (shown) has spoken out against Iran and Syria, who he says gave the organization known as Hezbollah missiles and undermined the stability within the region.

According to Gates, the two countries have been allegedly giving Hezbollah sophisticated missiles and rockets, and that they now have more than most governments, severely destabilizing the region.

Israel has also alleged recently that Syria has given Scud missiles to Hezbollah, but Gates did not comment on the allegation.

The issue was addressed at a joint conference with Gates and Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

The two men stressed the cooperation between the two nations, amidst increasing tensions between Israel and the United States since the presidency of Barack Obama, and the continuation of settlements by the Israeli nation.
