May 10, 2010

California (ChattahBox) – Melissa Huckaby, a former Sunday school teacher that was charged in the death of her daughter’s eight year old playmate, has plead guilty.

She originally plead not guilty in April 2009 to the charges, after eight-year-old Sandra Cantu was found dead and stuffed into a suitcase in an irrigation pond.

She has now entered a guilty plea in exchanged of a 25-to-life sentence that will make her ineligible for the death penalty.

She has admitted to kidnapping, raping, and murdering Cantu before hiding the body.

Armia – She admitted to raping and killing Cantu. There is no ambiguity about what happened here. One in every ten sex offenders is a woman. This time, that sex offender murdered her victim. It is tragic. Saying you don’t believe it is foolish, considering she says she did it. If they didn’t have enough evidence for her to face the death penalty she wouldn’t have plead out to avoid it.
