Dem LaRouchie for Congress: Impeach Obama, Move to Mars

June 20, 2010

(ChattahBox)— Alvin Greene, the mysterious Democratic candidate for senate in South Carolina, who is facing a felony porn charge and somehow managed to win the primary, without ever leaving his father’s basement, looks good compared to Democratic Texas congressional nominee Kesha Rogers. She managed to win the primary in the 22nd district, despite being a leader and vocal advocate of the kooky Lyndon LaRouche Youth Movement, which is more correctly described as a cult. The centerpiece of her primary campaign, was the colonization of Mars and the impeachment of President Obama. Are these two candidates just unexplainable aberrations, or are they evidence of an angry electorate during a painful recession looking for change—ANY change? The answer is perhaps, a little bit of both.

The electorate is angry, they no longer trust government and want change; is the standard media narrative. And of course, much of that voter dissatisfaction can be attributed to a high unemployment rate and a deep recession. People are hurting. So, the right-wing have benefited from voter anger by whipping the disaffected up into a frenzy with hate and fear, at a time when we have our first black president in office. There suddenly is no longer a bright line between the crazy right-wing conspiracy-laden fringe and establishment Republican rhetoric. People want answers to their problems and are more willing than ever to latch on to wacky conspiracy theories and radical ideas, such as withdrawing from the evil United Nations, and eliminating a number of federal programs and agencies, such as social security, Medicare, the Department of Education and the EPA. And this environment is perfect for “LaRouchies, ” adherents to the bizarre and conspiratorial LaRouche movement, headed by the controversial felon and perennial presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche. The kooky movement operates more like a brainwashing cult, rather than a political party. And although the LaRouchies have attempted to become a faction of the Democratic Party, the Democrats want nothing to do with them.

So who is Kesha Rogers? According to a Time Magazine piece, she is a full-fledged LaRouchie extremist:

“Rogers, 33, told TIME she is a “full time political activist” in the Lyndon LaRouche Youth Movement, a recruiting arm of the LaRouche political organization that is active on many college campuses. The LYM espouses LaRouche opposition to free trade and “globalism” (the UN, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund) and it also calls for a return to a humanist classical education, emphasizing the works of Plato and Leibnitz. On her professional looking campaign website,, she touts the LaRouche political philosophy — a mix of support for the economic policies of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the impeachment of President Obama — and calls Obama a “London and Wall Street backed puppet” whose policies will destroy the Democratic Party. During the campaign, she was photographed carrying an oversized portrait of the President with a Hitler-style moustache penciled on his lip.”

The state Democratic Party “has adopted a resolution denying any party support for Rogers, citing the alleged racist and discriminatory views of the LaRouche movement.”

Rogers is now left to her own devices to promote such campaign slogans, as “Help send me to Congress, and we can send our grandchildren to Mars!”

Wow… how colorful you journalism is. You really dont take a stance at all in this coverage. I have worked with ms Rogers, and she is passionate for the population, not for bailing out wallstreet as obama want´s to. JFK also wanted to go to mars, was he also crazy? Remember that we got 12 dollars back for every signle dollar invested i infrastructure from our space adventures, not as our current polices where we invest in bombs om afghanistan och prisoncells in guantanamo, oooppp…. forgot to close that one obama didnt you?

Seems to me that Ms. Rogers won her primary fair and square! Her campaign went door to door, held high visibility rallies, townhall meetings, and policy workshops. The voters agreed with her plans(FDR, JFK style) and voted her their nominee for Congress. Isn’t that how democracy works? Losing the Texas democratic party’s support for her campaign is the best that could have happened. The democratic party has lost the trust of the American people after their spineless and impotent (in)actions have done nothing to save our country from these traitors (Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Frank,…).
    Go Kesha! Impeach Obama!
