Nutty Birther Billboard Awaits Obama at Gulf Coast

August 14, 2010

(ChattahBox)–The birther conspiracy theory that President Obama is an illegal alien, is nuts, it’s crazy and it has been completely and thoroughly debunked, but it still persists. Why? Blame it partly on racism, xenophobia and fanatical adherents, such as WorldNetDaily founder Joseph Farah. And the right-wing anti-Obama smear machine of talk radio, extremist right-wing lawmakers and tea party groups, also keeps the kooky conspiracy theory alive. And WorldNetDaily, known as the fevered swamp for radical right-wing conspiracy theories is erecting one of its notorious birther billboards, asking “Where’s the Birth Certificate” to greet President Obama and his family, as they visit the Gulf Coast region this weekend. Nice, huh?

WorldNetDaily is very adept at monetizing its kooky conspiracy theories and apocalyptic fearmongering, by running fundraising campaigns to pay for the billboards, as well as selling right-wing merchandise from its Superstore. The online store sells birther T-shirts, bumper stickers and scary-sounding books with such titles, as “The Manchurian President.

And Farah is offering a $10,000 reward for “persuasive evidence” proving the place of President Obama’s birth. But no evidence exists to satisfy Farah and his tin-foil-hat-wearing minions.

WorldNet Daily insists the question of Obama’s eligibility has not been answered, despite the fact that Obama’s birth certificate is available online and birth notices were printed in two Hawaiian newspapers at the time President Obama was born.

“Farah attributes widespread interest in the great “birth-certificate controversy” to the billboard campaign that, he believes, rekindled the debate about Obama’s constitutional eligibility for office. The campaign asks the simple but unanswered question, “Where’s the birth certificate?”‘

Farah can’t be looking very hard. President Obama’s birth certificate is right here.

Now, can we all forget about this nutty conspiracy theory?

Sighs–apparently not. As noted by Think Progress, a recent poll found that a shocking majority of Americans believe President Obama was not born in the United States.

“A recent CNN poll found that only 42 percent of Americans have absolutely no doubts that Obama was born in the U.S., while 29 percent say he “probably” was. Eleven percent claim Obama was definitely not born in the U.S. and another 16 percent say the president was probably not born in the country.”

This is all quite depressing.

Well, usually when people can’t dig up any $h!t on a person, they create it.

Where have you been hiding? No birth certificate has ever been shown. That fax certificate on line is not a BIRTH CERTIFICATE! It even shows you that on the top line. No person can ever be a Natural Born American Citizen if they were born a British Subject. Poppa Obama was a Kenyan Brit and was under British Jurisdiction and was under British law and the British Nationality Act of 1948 which caused any children he fathered to be born British Subjects. So baby Obama was born a British Subject! Case Closed we have a usurper Sleeping in our White House! Arrest Him Today! Doubt this? GOOGLE “John Jay, George Washington, Natural Born” and see what our first Supreme Court Justice had to say about a Brit becoming Commander in Chief. That’s why we have the Natural Born requirement under Article 2. Section 1. paragraph 5. of our Great Constitution. This is the biggest sham ever pulled off on the American People! Pulled off by the Super Rich backing the sham New World Order! OPEN YOUR EYES!

As an interesting counterbalance to the CNN poll described above, an article in today’s New York Daily News, describing how Orly Taitz’s $20,000 sanctions were upheld by the Supreme Court, says the following:

‘In a Daily News online poll, which recorded nearly 20,000 votes, 95% said that President Obama was “definitely” born in the United States. One percent indicated he was “maybe” born here, with only 4% voting “probably not” or “no.”‘

“old1” has tried peddling his nonsense on many boards, such as, and each time one of his theories is debunked, he ignores it and moves on to the next, until that is debunked, eventually coming full-circle and starting over again, as if he had never been proved wrong.
That is how birthers argue. They have passed now from the realms of desperation to pure, unbridled insanity.

    Actual birther argument:
OMG! Muslim commie usurper! The greatest conspiracy the world has ever known spanning seven continents, 50 years, all of Congress, the Senate, the Supreme Court, all lesser US Courts, all 50 Governors, all local law enforcement, The Christian Church, the CIA-FBI-NSA-DEA-ATF, Homeland Security, State Dept, Joint Chiefs, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Hawaii, Hillery, McCain, Palin, Bush, Cheney, the Dems, the Republicans are ALL IN ON IT!!!!!!!!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!11!!!11!!!!!

Then they quote the US Constitution, which they have never read, and doesn’t actually say what they insist it says.

Retire and when Social Security needs your Birth Certificate to collect some benefits, just refer them to a web page with a image of your “certification of live birth”.

It’s great that you won’t collect anything since SS is broke and everyone else who had a real birth certificate will tap into your payments.

Evidently some people believe “Ignorance and Stupidity, prevail over Skill and Intelligence”, but I don’t.

Get your facts straight. Obama has never released a long form birth certificate which shows the name of the doctor, hospital, footprint, etc. Instead HI is basing his US birth with a mail order certificate anyone outside the US could obtain to show birth in HI. Once the mail order certificate is issued HI automatically contacted the newspapers. Fraud then is published. How can anyone respect a CNN poll with the goal of diminishing the opposition to Obama’s eligibility. We are beyond the place of birth his alleged fathe was a foreign born student never a US citizen, end of story for natural born citizen required to hold office of president.
