VP Biden Says Tea Party Will Lose Elections…Yeah, Probably

August 20, 2010

US (ChattahBox) – I know I am inviting a lot of angry Tea Party supporters to jump into the comment section and post in ALLCAPS, but I will risk it. Vice President Joe Biden has said that the Tea Party candidates will lose the elections in November, to which I think I will have to agree.

I am not going to go off on the policies or beliefs of the Party…anyone who takes a quick gander through this site should get an idea almost immediately of the political leanings of he writers at this blog.

What I will point out is the marginalizing nature of the group, and the fact that they seem to have two collectives within: the Racists and the Non-Racists. Even Tea Party members have made this distinction, and seem to push themselves to one side or the other.

This is made worst by candidates that say things like “Illegals should be detained in internment camps”, making an ironic show of their lack of historical knowledge.

Then you have the Birthers, who even Tea Party leaders are calling “dumbasses“, and many, many other scandals that have hit the party.

Biden made the point, according to the Huffington Post, that when it comes to actual elections in November, the majority of people will step away from these “extreme candidates”.

I think that even for Tea Party members, this will be true.

It is becoming common to see candidates actually being open with their racism. Just look at Dan Fanelli, and his ridiculous ad that came out this month.

This kind of rhetoric won’t win elections, no matter what group it comes from. It will just further separate the major conservative from the totally insane.

But, hey, that kind of nonsense makes us Liberals happy. We dirty Hippy pinko Commie bastards need to get our evil, godless views somewhere, right?
