Terry Jones Promises No Quran Burning Ever

(ChattahBox US News) – Pastor Terry Jones who canceled his plans to do a Quran burning on the anniversary of 9/11 is satisfied now that his mission has been accomplish.  Jones planned the book burning in response to the Cordoba House, a planned Islamic community center two blocks from where the Twin Towers fell.  In response there has been protests in mainly Muslim countries, with rallies reported in Somalia and Afghanistan.  And Presiden Obama said the Quran-burning plan would endanger American troops overseas, tens of thousands of them in Muslim countries. Jones told NBC’s Today show Saturday that he also planned the stunt to “expose that there is an element of Islam that is very dangerous and very radical.” “We will definitely not burn the Koran, no,” the Reverend Jones told NBC‘s Today show. “Not today, not ever.” After weeks of media frenzy he feels his 50-member church called the Dove World Outreach Center, has now accomplished that mission  He added he has no plans to meet the imam behind the Cordoba House project, but he hopes one can be arranged.
