Sen. Lindsey Graham: Bomb, Bomb, ‘Neuter’ Iran

November 7, 2010

(ChattahBox Political News)—Poor neocon Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), is really, really bored with the current two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, his Party has disastrously mishandled. So, what’s a bloodthirsty neocon to do? Drum up a campaign to bomb Iran. Not realizing he isn’t the President of the United States, or Secretary of State, or the Secretary of Defense, Lindsay traveled to Canada to talk tough about bombing Iran, to “…neuter that regime. “Containment is off the table,” said Graham.

His Iran war talk is nothing new for the Senator from South Carolina. Graham, along with his senatorial neocan pals, John McCain (R-AZ) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT), have all been itching to bomb Iran for quite some time. During the Republican presidential primary, McCain even broke into song when the subject came up, singing “Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran,” to the tune of the Beach Boy’s hit “Barbara Ann.”

Graham made his remarks during a weekend appearance at a security conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The AFP writes:

“The last thing America wants is another military conflict, but the last thing the world needs is a nuclear-armed Iran… Containment is off the table.” […]

“The South Carolina Republican saw the United States going to war with the Islamic republic “not to just neutralize their nuclear program, but to sink their navy, destroy their air force and deliver a decisive blow to the Revolutionary Guard, in other words neuter that regime.”

Graham was not content to just stop with Iran. He also decided to predict some sort of a conflict with China over its currency.

“Graham also warned of a forthcoming “period of confrontation” with China over its “cheating” currency manipulation.”

Neoconservative lawmakers are frightening and dangerous. Remember how wrong Republicans were about the Iraq War? Remember Cheney’s very wrong prediction? “My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators, said Cheney of the Iraq War.”

How did that work out for us?
