Radical Christians Execute Santa to Show Love for Baby Jesus (Video)

December 20, 2010

(ChattahBox US News)—A radical group of right-wing Christians in Texas do not like Santa Claus. And the commercialization of Christmas obscuring the real meaning of the holiday. And that’s the birth of the baby Jesus, of course. So, how does a militant evangelical group that considers themselves God’s foot soldiers against sinners make their point? They post a YouTube video of the execution of Santa that they say is in “good fun.”

The Santa killers call themselves Repent Amarillo. They are a bunch of extremists who describe themselves as “the Special Forces of spiritual warfare.”

The group’s website if filled with military imagery, as well as a lengthy oath taken by Repent Amarillo’s foot soldiers.

“I am a soldier in the army of my God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, Prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire. I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the Rapture or I will die in this army.”

When they are not murdering Santa, they mostly harass local business and their patrons for sinful activity. They have targeted a local swinger’s club. And their website contains a “spiritual warfare map” of other targets for harassment, including gay bars, porn shops, Islamic centers and a coffee house that attracts sinful “artists and counterculture types.”

After the Army of God warriors execute Santa, one of the shooters says in the video, “As Christians we do not advocate violence. This is all for good fun.”

He adds that Christmas is not about “some stupid man in a red suit,” it’s “about Jesus Christ.”

OK, well–somehow I get the idea Christmas is not exactly a fun time for the Repent Amarillo kids.
