Colbert Spoofs Limbaugh’s ‘Kung Pao Jibber Jabber’ Slur (Video)

January 21, 2011

(ChattahBox Political News)—Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert took aim at Rush Limbaugh’s juvenile and insulting mockery of the Chinese culture and language on last night’s show. The vile hate talker Limbaugh, used the opportunity of Chinese president Hu Jintao’s visit to the White House to let loose an on-air performance in fake Chinese. Why? Rush reasoned that the Chinese guy could be saying just about anything. Who really knows? Colbert helped him out. For starters, Colbert said at least about 1.5 billion people can understand the kind of “Kung Pao jibber jabber” that has the bigoted Limbaugh so befuddled.

If you haven’t already seen Limbaugh’s jaw-dropping “Kung Pao jibber jabber,” slur you really have to see it for yourself to appreciate the depth of his ignorant provincialism.

“When I hear Chinese or Japanese, it all sounds like the same word,” lamented the odious Limbaugh. And I can’t comprehend of anybody understanding it.”

Colbert offered a biting response. “Exactly! Who on earth could understand that Kung Pao jibber jabber? Off the top off my head, I can only think of 1.5 billion people,” said Colbert.

Colbert then ran Limbaugh’s “Chinese” through a translator: “My favorite donut is every donut. When I stand up, my chair smells like a cat shelter.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Limbaugh has engaged in bigoted attacks on minorities and foreign cultures. And even the chronically ill are not off limits. Remember when Limbaugh offensively suggested that actor and Parkinson sufferer Michale J. Fox was exaggerating his symptoms for sympathy?

Colbert showed clips of Limbaugh acting out the movements of a Parkinson sufferer and using “Negro dialect” to mock the Rev. Al Sharpton. And he admonished Limbaugh for keeping all of the good impressions for himself.

“So Rush, please leave some hilarious characters for the rest of us. Don’t be an impression hog, not that you don’t do a great impression of a hog,” said Colbert.
