Anonymous VS. Koch Brothers: Club For Growth Site Taken Down

March 1, 2011

(ChattahBox Political News)—The anarchic hacktivist group Anonymous, true to their word, is taking direct aim at the arch-conservative political activities of the Koch brothers that are eating away at our system of democracy. And are behind the union-busting campaign led by the Kochs’ bought and paid for tool, Gov. Sott Walker. Dubbed #OpWisconsin, the Anonymous hive has already taken down the Koch-backed fake grassroots, tea party website Americans for Prosperity. But AFP was back online the next day. Last night, Anonymous launched a DDoS attack on the website of the anti-tax group Club for Growth that operates hand-in-hand with Charles and David Koch. The site remains offline, as of this writing. Who’s next?

Anonymous issued its call to action yesterday to “fight back” against “Koch Industries, and oligarchs like them,” especially in light of the brothers’ union-busting activities in Wisconsin. “Anonymous cannot ignore the plight of the citizen-workers of Wisconsin, or the opportunity to fight for the people in America’s broken political system,” reads the #OpWisconsin press release.

The hive’s attack on Club for Growth, headed by Koch cheerleader Stephen Moore, who is also a member of the Wall Street Journal’s editorial board, was announced on the Anonymous Twitter feed.

“I’ve been informed a #DDoS is underway against #Anonymous #OpWisconsin #WIunion #WeAreWI,” reads the tweet.

Since then, the Anon News Network has become a source for up-to-date news on the continuing protests in the Wisconsin Capitol against Walker’s union-busting campaign.

A re-tweet from a twitpic submitted by Terri Williams shows a figure wearing a “V for Vendetta” Anonymous mask, watching over the Wisconsin protesters.

“TerriWilliams Anonymous guards the Madison Capitol. In solidarity from Wisconsin! #opwisconsin #wiunion #anonymous #wearewi”

Meanwhile, Charles Koch took his case to the editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal today, pledging to continue pouring money into Wisconsin to ensure that Walker succeeds in crushing the voice of public workers.

“Because of our activism, we’ve been vilified by various groups. Despite this criticism, we’re determined to keep contributing and standing up for those politicians, like Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who are taking these challenges seriously,” writes Charles Koch.

Is there any question, any question at all, that Scott Walker is nothing but a Koch-backed puppet?

I have only one question for the very obstinate Koch Bros:

Can you keep the people of WI from recalling the 8 rw politicians in the state legislature?

Money can buy a whole lot of things, but I don’t believe the Koch money can prevent these 8 politicians from being recalled!!!!!!

Thank you for pointing out a couple of excellent sites which I totally agree with.

I also agree with peoples opinion to think the opposite.

I find left wing (and right wing) ad hominem arguments childish.
