After four days of searching, troops in China managed to rescue at least 17 people who were buried under the debris from the massive earthquake which hit Monday..Beijing (ChattahBox) – After four days of searching, troops in China managed to rescue at least 17 people who were buried under the debris from the massive earthquake which hit Monday.

They were rescued from the province of Sichuan, with many of them being stuck there for the full four days.

President Hu Jintao was in Sichuan to try and encourage rescue workers to keep going and find as many people as possible.

Beyond the 17 people rescued, troops stated that they believe they can hear calls for help from under the debris.

Many rescuers stated that they will not give up, with the death toll now believed to be above 22,000.
