At least 100 people died on Tuesday when a Sudan Airways plane erupted in flames on the runway in Khartoum, Sudan..Washington (ChattahBox) – At least 100 people died on Tuesday when a Sudan Airways plane erupted in flames on the runway in Khartoum, Sudan.

The chef of the Khartoum International Airport stated the plane landed completely safely on the runway, carrying over 200 people from Amman, Jordan to Sudan.

Once it was on the ground though, an engine exploded and burst into flames.

The problem was likely caused by bad weather. The pilot also overshot the runway, causing the engine to explode.

As of right now at least 100 people are reported and confirmed dead, with many more at the hospital.
